Description

Does the words "time out" send your kids heading for the hills? Do your kids look at you with fear, instead of being understanding of their problems? Is your relationship with your kids more of a you vs. them instead of working with them.

You've probably done this more than you think. In this book, we will talk about a new form a parenting, one that will blow your mind.

Gone are the days of you using force and duress to parent your kids.  Let's stop with this toxic, negative form of parenting that most of us have just because our parents used it.

Here, we're going to talk about parenting that's supportive. Our goal is to help you build a bond with your kid. Instead of using disciplinary tools that make your kids upset, we are going to encourage new ways to help out with misbehavior.

While the "time out" method is still used by many children when they act out, many times kids don't learn from it. They don't look at what they did wrong and correct said bad behavior. Instead, it's seen as an isolated punishment, and instead of being a good method to help kids learn from their mistakes, it creates resentment in many.

Some children feel confused when their parents banish them to time-out. Other times kids get angry because their parents are abandoning them. The problem with this is your child's left to figure out these emotions, instead of understanding why their parents did what we did.

That's why, with this book, we're going to encourage you to not abandon your kid when they act out. Instead, you help and support them. You'll be the guiding force to help them with these emotions, creating a healthy space for understanding of said behavior. Kids feel loved when you do this, rather than tossed to the side to fend for themselves.
