Compilación póstuma de cartas y documentos de León Trotsky escritos entre 1939 y 1940 que dan cuenta de una dura lucha fraccional al interior de la Cuarta Internacional, contra una fracción del SWP norteamericano, una de sus secciones más importantes. Esta fracción pequeñoburguesa del SWP negaba la lucha por la defensa de la URSS.
Este trabajo consiste entonces en una lucha decisiva contra el revisionismo en el marxismo, de las muchas que dio León Trotsky a lo largo de su vida, la última antes de ser asesinado por el stalinismo.
A 100 años de la revolución rusa, esta obra, que concentra la posición de los trotskistas ante la degeneración del primer estado obrero de la historia y el combate que dieron en los ‘30 por defender sus conquistas contra la burocracia stalinista que a cada paso las destruía, es el mejor homenaje que le podemos rendir a dicha revolución, que fuera expropiada y mancillada por el stalinismo.

Posthumous compilation of letters and documents of Leon Trotsky written between 1939 and 1940, which accounts of a harsh fractional struggle inside the Fourth International against a fraction of the American SWP, one of its most important sections. This petty-bourgeois fraction of the SWP denied the struggle in defence of USSR.
This work is thus a decisive struggle against revisionism in Marxism; one of the many struggles that Leon Trotsky fought in his life; the last one before being murdered by Stalinism.
This work concentrates the position of the Trotskyists on the degeneration of the first worker state in history and the fight they waged in the ‘30s to defend its gains against the Stalinist bureaucracy that destroyed them at each step. 100 years after the Russian revolution, this work is the best tribute we can pay to that revolution that was expropriated and sullied by Stalinism.
